What Next in the Workplace

Our workplace Circle journey has ended. Where do we go from here?

You did it—hooray! And, you might be wondering… What now? What next?

This session is designed to support workplace Circles in taking action together. If this doesn’t feel like the right approach for your group—or if you’d like more suggestions for continued engagement—you may want to use our general resources for “What Next?”

🌱 Opening

Re-read Ada Limón’s poem “Dead Stars” (p. 136).

💫 Check-in

Prompt: This session is all about action. Share your name + 1 word for how you’re feeling about climate action in the workplace. Then “popcorn” to someone else. (Circle leader should go first and model this.)

☀️ Discussion

Move through 3 generous questions, ensuring everyone has a chance to share.

  1. Given your current role, skills, and passions, is there a particular area of climate action at work that you’re drawn to? How could your work be (more) directed to climate solutions? (You might use the Green New Careers quiz for a dose of fun inspiration.)

  2. Tap into the power of radical imagination. What would it look like for this organization to be in alignment with a life-giving future? (Capture your collective vision and use it as fuel going forward.)

  3. What is a bold aspiration you hold for this organization in the next three years? Is there a climate-related “ask” we might collectively make? Who has the power to make that ask a reality? (This power-mapping resource from 350.org might be useful.)

🐝 Action Planning

  • Given our discussion today, what might we do together in the coming season?

    • Brainstorm a list of possibilities.

    • Then, narrow down to 2-3 key actions to take.

  • Do we want to keep meeting as a support/accountability Circle? What might that look like for us?

  • Consider whether you might want to “ripple out” Circles, by hosting them for other colleagues.

🌙 Closing

Read a favorite poem or quote from All We Can Save. Onward.

Support our work.

Together, we are equipping thousands of climate leaders from all backgrounds with the perspective, capacities, and community they need to engage meaningfully on climate, for the long term.
